Our flagship location at 54th and 2nd offers a functional cafe, modern apothecary retail market, and innovative healing services (IV drips, infrared saunas, cryotherapy, and cryofacials). With our first location now soft open, we are focused on building our team to support rapid growth and open 2 more stores in the next 12 months. Founded and funded by seasoned leaders in the wellness industry, Clean Market’s is fast becoming a destination for those looking to refuel, relax, and restore. What We’re Looking For:

Clean Market recently launched its flagship retail location with a wellness cafe in NYC. Our menu includes a functional latte program in partnership with Moon Juice, superfood smoothies program, and a fresh pressed organic and functional shot bar. As Cafe Manager, you have experience leading day-to-day operations of a fast paced cafe, love fostering a strong staff and customer culture, and have a passion for customer service and all things wellness. You are confident, outgoing and a natural leader.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Operations:

  • Develop operational plans for the staff along with schedule management

  • Manage budget and inventory across entire cafe

  • Create meaningful training and leadership to store team to ensure highest-quality standard across every customer served

  • Determine competitive sales goals and grow them each month

  • Be obsessive about efficiency, cleanliness, and overall flow of operations

  • Constantly improve cafe functioning and create a warm, welcoming environment

  • Respond quickly to feedback and implement change real time

 

Leadership:

Inspire & Motivate: inspire cafe team through a shared mentality to meet all expectations of the Clean Market community and team. Creatively impact each individual experience to motivate and empower while cultivating a team mentality. Act as a brand ambassador reflecting the values and aesthetic of the company.

 

Recruit, Hire & Promote: Hire extraordinary people and create personalized succession plans to focus on growth both internal and external in planning the development of cafe leaders.

 

Develop & Coach: develop training plans that build skills and expertise in all areas of F&B. Provide coaching conversations and feedback in the moment to create a culture of accountability with everyone striving to put their best foot forward by setting clear objectives and expectations on a daily and weekly basis.

 

Adaptability & Innovation: encourage and demonstrate adaptability and lead initiatives to evolve the customer experience. Strive to implement change and enable the team to successfully execute a shared vision.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years experience as a manager in a quick service cafe or restaurant

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant experience

  • Minimum 1 year leading in a customer service environment  

  • Food Protection Certification is a plus

  • Budget management experience

  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, nights, or holidays

  • Passion for health and wellness and willingness to learn (bonus if you have been trained as a health coach!)

  • Strong people management and leadership skills

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills

  • Exceptional time management, decision making and planning skills

  • Ability to lift up to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
