 Job Description

The Senior Software Development Engineer will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of an ever evolving modern development stack.  You will build, secure, test, integrate, deploy, release, operate and monitor in a “you build it, you run it” DevOps team based hybrid cloud environment.   Ideal candidates will have experience balancing live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt.

 

Circadence is looking for enthusiastic and motivated engineers who want to build the premier cybersecurity learning platform of the future.  We are a diverse and growing engineering team pushing the limits of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.  We are building a SaaS platform with a modern microservices stack (Kubernetes, gRPC, GO, NoSQL).  Our front end stack includes React (web) & Unity (game).

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits agile & Dev Ops values in a self-organizing team.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by modeling good practices and habits.
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with other developers to plan, design, develop, and unit test applications.
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.

 Minimum experience and qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 7+ years’ experience designing and developing enterprise grade software
  • 3+ years of team software development

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience with backend languages\frameworks like Go, C++, Java, .NET Core
  • Experience with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database technologies
  • Experience with Cloud IaaS, PaaS & SaaS like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with configuration management software like Salt Stack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, Ember, Node

 Required proficiencies

  • Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Experience with agile development methodologies & Scrum
  • Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
  • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques, best practices, design patterns and anti-patterns
  • Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
  • Have home office dedicated to working with teams, groups in a telecommute setting.
  • Ability to work 40 hours with overtime as needed.

  • This position is remote with travel to Boulder/Denver area.
