We are seeking an individual with clinical research and advanced practice expertise to operate and scale the matching platform, for use by patients and clinical researchers alike.

  • Manage the growth and upkeep of a clinical trial knowledge base, encompassing trial-related terminology, descriptive information, selection parameters, and sites.

    • Supervise a team of clinical trial annotators and database administrators who review clinical trial protocols and public registry listings to extract necessary information, using Ciitizen’s proprietary software and data platform.

    • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions as needed to standardize processes.

    • Perform a player-coach role as the lead clinical trial annotator and master-user of CT databasing systems. Verify team-members’ work and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Oversee consumer-facing report generation. Maximize system up-time. Review patient matches to ensure information accuracy.

  • Support patients in navigating their clinical trial option reports. Support professional users (health care providers and biopharma staff) in using clinical trial match results.

  • As an internal domain expert, document opportunities for product and process improvements.

  • Coordinate with Ciitizen’s B2B project management office to ensure effective delivery of clinical trial sponsor services including clinical trial candidate identification reports.

  • Collaborate with engineering to document and resolve technical issues across all aspects of the clinical trial matching platform (trial databasing, matching, patient reporting and B2B reporting).

  • Apply your domain expertise and technical proficiency to test and refine new product functionality as it becomes available.

  • Deep knowledge of clinical trial enrollment, clinical trial selection parameters and medical terminology, attained through applicable career tracks, SUCH AS:

    • Nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant, or other advance-practice oncology professional with minimum 3 years oncology experience - either solid tumor or hematological.

    • Experienced biopharma industry professional with a life science degree and 3-5 years of hand-son experience in clinical research and patient enrollment into trials.

  • Experience with software development and implementation, especially clinical trial data management systems or electronic medical records.

  • Detail-oriented and attentive, a self-starter and analytical thinker

  • Access to a secure, reliable, high-speed internet connection

  • This is a full-time position in a fast-moving startup with unpredictable work hours

About Us:

Ciitizen’s mission is to provide Earth’s 7.3 billion citizens with control of their complete health information and give them the choice of sharing it with whomever they want. Period. With this new ownership, patients can share their health history with caregivers, share for second opinions, and with companies/researchers who may hold the answer to their treatment.

All patients have a right to all of their health information, yet existing portals pull only minimal clinical information from a fraction of health care institutions. Current “interoperability” initiatives leave the patient out of the picture and often rely on armies of manual labor to extract key health insights from unstructured textual data—an expensive model which doesn’t scale.

In the near future, citizens will walk into a clinical facility and, with a simple tap of a mobile device, release their health information to themselves, where Ciitizen normalizes unstructured data from across the healthcare ecosystem into actionable visualizations for patients, their caregivers, and clinicians.

Ciitizen has assembled an all-star team, led by its CEO, Anil Sethi (last company was sold to Apple) and is backed by a strong investment team led by Andreessen Horowitz and general partner Vijay Pande.
