Inside Sales Support Associate

We supply and market a variety of consumer products. Most of our items are used in the home and are sold to individuals and professionals.

 

About the job:

We are seeking someone to join our team to support our selling efforts. The ideal candidate has a sense of urgency, is detail oriented, and self-managed to ensure all is completed correctly and completely.

 

Job Requirements:

 

-Be on-site during standard office hours

-Create marketing spreadsheets: competitive price shops, product specification lists, and more

-Maintain product information (images, copy, files) using web-based back office systems

-Create PowerPoint’s: add images; remove image backgrounds; add titles, features, specifications

-Travel to local stores to purchase samples, take pictures, and take occasional measurements

-Take in-focus photos of products with appropriate lighting for presentation purposes

-Receive inbound phone calls from customers or otherwise: <20/day and generally less

-Make outbound calls to answer questions/fill replacement part requests: 10-20/week 

-Record customer escalations and interactions in spreadsheet

-Monitor and respond to customer reviews and questions as necessary

-Maintain inventory of replacement parts and send out parts to customers 

-Make outgoing shipments both domestically and internationally 

-Receive incoming sample shipments

-Keep an organized document and photo library

-Follow through on daily, weekly, and monthly routine tasks and also complete one-time tasks

-Administer FedEx account and maintain relationship with account representative 

-Update project tracker spreadsheets for our work with third-party vendors and offsite staff 

-Occasionally draft and/or proof letters, instruction manuals, etc. 

-Ability to take direction from 2-3 people of differing personalities 

-Ability and willingness to learn about products in our industry

 

Key Qualifications:

 

-MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word – willingness and ability to learn and go beyond the basics 

-Self-driven task management and organizational abilities

-Excellent written communication skills

-Phone etiquette when receiving and making outgoing calls to customers 

-Administrative skills

-Past experience in an entrepreneurial run environment is a plus as is retail work experience
