Position:

We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator with a strong technical background and fluency in English to manage and optimize the network infrastructure for our sites in La Vega and Santiago, Dominican Republic. This role requires a candidate who can work independently, deploying complex network solutions across multiple locations and effectively communicating with our team in the U.S. headquarters.

This position is ideal for a proactive, self-sufficient network administrator who can effectively manage infrastructure across both La Vega and Santiago locations, with strong English communication skills for regular collaboration with our U.S. headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design, Implementation & Maintenance:

  • Independently design, implement, and manage network infrastructure across our La Vega and Santiago sites to ensure secure, high-performance connectivity.

  • Configure and maintain next-generation firewalls, specifically SonicWall, to protect and monitor network traffic efficiently.

  • Deploy and optimize Ubiquiti switches, access points, and other network hardware across both sites, ensuring robust connectivity and security with minimal support.

  • Conduct routine performance assessments and implement necessary upgrades to maintain stability and reliability at both locations.

Network Monitoring & Analysis:

  • Utilize advanced network monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor and SonicWall Network Security Manager (NSM) to proactively monitor network performance and identify issues in real-time.

  • Analyze metrics and generate reports to address potential issues before they impact operations, ensuring optimal network health and performance across sites.

CCTV & Surveillance Systems:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot 3xLogic and UniFi CCTV systems to support security and surveillance needs across La Vega and Santiago.

Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce network security protocols, protecting data and resources in line with company policies and industry standards.

  • Manage firewall rules, VPNs, and secure remote access to ensure security and data privacy compliance across both locations.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Serve as a tier-3 escalation point for complex network-related issues, providing independent troubleshooting and collaborating with the IT team as needed.

  • Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge-sharing and compliance.

Vendor & Project Management:

  • Coordinate with vendors to procure, install, and maintain network equipment and software for both La Vega and Santiago sites.

  • Lead and manage network projects, from setup to deployment, integrating emerging technologies with minimal oversight.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in complex network environments, capable of independently managing multi-site infrastructure.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SonicWall firewalls and Ubiquiti network hardware.

  • Proficiency with LogicMonitor and SonicWall NSM for proactive monitoring and management across multiple locations.

  • Experience with 3xLogic and UniFi CCTV systems is advantageous.

  • Certifications: CCNA certification is required, CCNP is preferred.


Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of network protocols, security policies, VPNs, VLANs, and IP subnetting.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to configure and manage complex network solutions independently.

  • Proficiency in both physical and virtual server environments.

Language & Communication:

  • Fluency in English is essential, as the candidate will regularly communicate with our U.S.-based team to coordinate network strategies, troubleshooting, and project updates.
