Quality System Coordinator - Team Sports Equipment

Position:

As a Quality System Coordinator for Team Sports Equipment, you will be at the heart of maintaining the quality and performance of various team sports equipment, including helmets, protective gear, basketballs and more. Your role will involve setting quality standards, creating inspection plans, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure that the products meet the required specifications. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and a dedication to maintaining high-quality standards are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection Planning and Review:

Examine detailed inspection reports generated by on-site inspectors.

Verify adherence to established quality standards and procedures.

Analyze inspection findings and identify areas of concern or non-compliance.

2. Quality Assessment:

Evaluate the quality and performance of team sports equipment based on inspection results.

Identify defects, irregularities, and quality issues.

Coordinate with internal teams to manage defective inventory.

3. Root Cause Identification:

Investigate the root causes of quality issues and defects.

Collaborate with production teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to address non-compliance.

Implement corrective action plans to resolve quality problems.

4. Chargeback Evaluation:

Calculate and document chargebacks or penalties for substandard products.

Communicate chargeback decisions to relevant parties and facilitate resolution.

5. Data Analysis:

Maintain records and data related to quality audits and inspections.

Utilize statistical analysis and quality control tools to monitor trends in product quality.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare reports summarizing inspection results, quality assessments, and chargeback calculations.

Communicate findings and recommendations to team members and suppliers.

Maintain records demonstrating compliance of critical products.

7. Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with product managers to understand product lines and establish standards.

Propose and implement process improvements for enhanced quality control.

Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulations.

Share insights and best practices with the quality team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Proven experience in quality auditing and control.

Mastery of quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality control tools.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Familiarity with chargeback processes is a plus.

Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications.
