Junior - UX QA Analyst

Customer Service | Hybrid in Bannockburn, IL | Full Time | From $19.00 to $21.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

This description outlines the responsibilities and qualifications for the Junior UX QA Analyst role and is subject to updates as department needs evolve.

  • Design and document comprehensive test cases to assess software features and user interactions.
  • Execute manual and automated tests, focusing on functionality, usability, and user experience.
  • Conduct preliminary usability testing and provide feedback on user pain points.
  • Identify, report, and track bugs with clear documentation, including reproduction steps and supporting details (e.g., screenshots or videos).
  • Collaborate with developers to understand features and workflows for better test coverage.
  • Assist in maintaining test data and ensuring a functional, up-to-date testing environment.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data from usability tests, surveys, and user feedback.
  • Work with UX designers, developers, and QA teams to validate fixes and advocate for user-centric improvements.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and user-centered design.
  • Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Strong analytical skills for creating effective testing scenarios.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow structured testing protocols.
  • Clear communication skills for documenting bugs and collaborating with teams.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Accuracy and detail in bug reporting and issue tracking.
  • Timely execution of assigned test cases.
  • Contribution to maintaining the quality and functionality of the test environment.
  • Responsiveness to feedback and collaboration with team members.

Supervision Received:

Reports to the QA Leads and receives direct guidance to ensure testing activities align with project objectives and quality standards.
