Position Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly analytical Business Analyst to collaborate cross-functionally with the company’s different departments.
The primary mission of this role is to bridge the needs of the Manufacturing, Operations, and Business areas with the solutions developed by the Technology and Software Development team, ensuring that functional requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
The Business Analyst will serve as a key facilitator between business users and the technical team, ensuring effective communication and the consistent delivery of business value throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role will report to the Technology Management / Product Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Interview users and stakeholders to identify business needs, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze and document functional and technical requirements in a clear and structured manner.
- Translate business needs into actionable functional specifications for the development team.
User Stories and Backlog Management
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed development tickets.
- Manage and prioritize the backlog of tasks and functionalities based on business impact and value.
- Continuously refine requirements alongside technical teams and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication and Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between business areas, operations, and the development team.
- Facilitate requirement gathering, validation, and follow-up meetings.
- Provide progress updates, manage expectations, and obtain necessary approvals.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Support
- Actively participate in all SDLC phases: analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Clarify functional questions and business rules for the development team.
- Conduct walkthroughs and alignment sessions with developers and stakeholders.
Validation and Quality Assurance
- Perform functional testing and validate that solutions meet business acceptance criteria.
- Identify opportunities for process, system, and operational workflow improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and the documentation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
Position Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
- Experience working throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Previous Quality Assurance (QA) experience is considered a plus.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements.
- Experience using management and documentation tools such as: Azure, DevOps, MiroVisio, & Jira (preferred)
- Knowledge of process modeling and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to perform functional testing and business validations.
