We’re looking for an Inventory Supply Planner who can balance the precision of data-driven decision-making with the creativity needed to solve complex supply challenges. You’ll have a direct impact on keeping our customers stocked and satisfied—while working with a supportive team that values collaboration, initiative, and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid role based in Bannockburn, IL.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll support the daily operations and documentation of our inventory supply processes. You’ll ensure that our data is accurate, our inventory is optimized, and our products—ranging from lacrosse balls to protective equipment—are delivered on time and to spec. You’ll partner closely with the Quality Control department, the Key Account Lead Planner, and the Director of Inventory Management to keep our supply network running efficiently.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong, effective relationships with vendors, internal teams, and external partners to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage administrative tasks including data entry, reporting, and document handling with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of your priorities, escalate challenges when necessary, and follow through to resolution.
  • Partner with the Key Account Lead Planner to develop strategies that meet demand—whether through reworking inventory, placing new orders, or adjusting production schedules.
  • Provide timely and relevant updates to leadership on inventory status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Uphold confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in inventory planning, supply chain, or production planning roles.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems—NetSuite highly preferred (SAP or Oracle also applicable).
  • Proven track record of effective communication and relationship management across diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and proactive with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and driving tasks to completion.

Education

  • Associate degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent hands-on experience in planning and supply chain operations will be considered in place of formal education.
