Associate Apparel Product Manager

We are seeking a full-time innovative Associate Product Manager to join our product team in Wheeling, IL and ensure that our products remain competitive.

Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Apparel Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support Product Managers in the development and management of our apparel products, from conceptualization to market launch. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence and alignment with market trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to category managers in the development, launch, and promotion of new product lines.
  • Assist with market/ trend /competitor research.
  • Support the team with the creation of new catalogs, trade show setups, and fashion show logistics.
  • Address quality control issues in apparel and ensure products meet company standards.
  • Use financial data to analyze trends and forecast inventory needs.
  • Analyze and forecast the financial impact of product discontinuations and inventory clearances.
  • Manage product lifecycle and identify items for discontinuation.
  • Assist with creating a cohesive documentation record system for internal forms, data, and processes to ensure consistency and organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in apparel product management or a related role (internships included).
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative product data.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and competitor behavior.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
