POSITION OVERVIEW 

Chairish Inc. is looking for a VP Legal. Reporting to the CFO, our VP Legal will work cross-functionally to provide legal guidance on matters pertaining, but not limited to, compliance, contracts, and policy.

    Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and negotiating agreements with clients, service providers and other counterparties, such as investment management agreements, sub-advisory agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts

  • Providing legal advice on general corporate matters

  • Assisting with further development, maintenance and updating of legal and compliance systems, records and policies and procedures

  • Manage files and settlements.

  • Liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced matters.

  • Due diligence for acquisitions; management and supervision of corporate transactions and providing related advice when applicable.

  • Research and synthesize information and guidance on new privacy laws and guidance and translate it into tangible, practical legal guidance for Chairish

  • Advise on HR and employment law-related matters

    Your Experience:

  • Law Degree from an accredited law school

  • Must be a member of the California bar in good standing

  • Minimum 5 years work experience at a law firm

  • In house legal experience a plus

  • Exposure to and familiarity with the legal framework governing data security in the United States; EU a plus.
