Social Media Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented Social Media Manager to join our Social Team at Chairish. In this role, you will be responsible for developing monthly social content strategies, designing social marketing materials and creating strong video content for our organic social media channels.

This role is a 4-month maternity leave cover. This person must be based in the United States and available during PST/PDT hours.

Your Skills & Experience:

• In depth understanding of how key social media platforms and their respective algorithms work

• Experience collaborating on the development of social content calendars

• Proficiency in design programs such as Canva, Photoshop and Adobe Express

• Experience creating strong video content for Instagram and TikTok

• High aesthetic standards and creative judgment and understanding of how to story- tell on social media

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with the Chairish Community Manager to develop social media strategies and content calendars that support the Chairish strategic marketing plan and key goals

• Design original IG Stories content that aligns with the marketing calendar for both @chairishco and @chairishbydesign

• Develop original video content for output across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram

• Contribute to populating engaging shoppable content on Pinterest

• Identify relevant trends and opportunities for us to create an engaging community across social channels and share with the team

• Engage with Chairish and Chairish By Design community in Instagram comments section

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience copywriting.
• At least 3 years’ experience managing social media campaigns.
• Experienced with Google docs, analytics and content management systems. (Photoshop experience gets you noticed!)
• Startup experience preferred.
• A little nutty about technology would help.
• Irreverent sense of humor is embraced here.
