Chairish Inc. (comprised of Dering Hall, DECASO and Chairish) is looking for a dynamic sales person in New York.
This position will establish a presence for Dering Hall and DECASO, and will focus on growing our network of high-end design brands, dealers and artisans. Our work style requires flexibility; a can-do attitude; great taste; an outgoing, resilient personality and a sense of humor. You are a savvy, creative, practically minded connector who is driven by a love for sophisticated design; you are comfortable working remotely and in a startup/high growth environment. Working hard and being held to defined metrics is a given. You are a driver, a hunter, a gatherer; self-motivated and already connected to the high-end, influential dealer community. You are goal-oriented and know how to incite enthusiasm and ultimately drive sales to conversion. You are a mover and a shaker and always on top of trends, the competition and must-see events. Prior sales experience is a must!
Assertively recruit leading luxury showroom, to-the-trade, custom, bespoke, artisan brands and vintage/antique dealers for membership on Dering Hall and DECASO.
Introduce above brands to Chairish sales representative as a resource to sell quick ship and showroom sample items.
Develop, service and maintain existing members in addition to attracting new ones.
Partner with Chairish Inc leadership to identify new opportunities/categories and develop into them.
Represent Chairish Inc. (Dering Hall / DECASO) at key design events for networking.
Collaborate with marketing team to improve materials and expand brand awareness.
Interface with broader sales team, executive team, Director of Trade Relations of Chairish Inc. as well as highly sophisticated buyers and sellers.
Update and track all contacts and progress in CRM system.
Track and measure ongoing success; present state of the business, challenges and opportunities monthly to sales and executive leadership.
Rich, proven experience in sales and client/account management, with a particular focus on contemporary brands;
Proven ability to set objectives and meet goals;
A sophisticated understanding of and passion for design;
Ideally at least 6 years of previous experience with interior design, art, publishing or auction industries;
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
Excellent personal and professional network within the high end dealer and furnishings industry;
Comfortable meeting in person with world class brands, dealers and key decision-makers while making positive impressions and getting results throughout territory;
- Bachelor’s degree in design or design degree (or equivalent) preferred.
