This role is remote eligible. Chairish Inc. is looking for an Associate Buyer to join our growing ecommerce buying team. Because the retail/wholesale part of our brand is still in its infancy, this position offers the unique opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our business’s growth and trajectory. There has never been a more exciting time to be in the home category online, so there will be no shortage of learning opportunities along the way.
In this role you will assist the category Buyer(s) in vendor management, assortment optimization, and overall running of the business. The Associate Buyer will provide instrumental organization and support to our team. Moreover, we will rely on you to closely monitor all aspects of the accounts and skus within your purview and to proactively identify issues before they become larger.
The Associate Buyer will also provide a key point of contact and support to our vendors. As a representative of our brand within the vendor community, you will be a responsive and collaborative partner.
This role is highly collaborative and will work in tandem with our Merchandising, Sales, Onboarding, and Analytics teams in order to maximize all of our opportunities for growth.
Analyze KPIs/sales trends for recommendations to Buying leadership
Communicate weekly/monthly/quarterly sales updates and identify actionable opportunities to further grow the business
Regularly review skus and performance to ensure that products are being displayed in the strongest possible way
Oversee vendor promotional participation and provide key operational support during sale periods
Liaise with our Onboarding and Production teams to ensure that ingested product is presented as effectively as possible
Proactively cultivate wholesale partnerships and work to anticipate issues before they arise
Regularly communicate with vendors to brainstorm new sales opportunities and act as key point of contact between external and internal partners
2+ years professional experience, ideally in Buying/Merchandising/e-commerce environment
Demonstrated passion and knowledge of the home category
A proven track record of partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Keen attention to detail and organizational skills
Insatiable curiosity and eagerness to learn
Proactive problem solver
