Summer Intern: Survey Field Technician

Survey | Dayton, OH | Full Time and Internship

Job Description

Are you a student studying surveying seeking a summer 2021 internship in the field of civil surveying? Would you like a learning environment that is both technically challenging and educationally stimulating? CESO is a surveying, civil engineering, and architectural  firm with diverse project opportunities: shopping centers, fueling and convenience stores, restaurants, urgent care centers and large residential developments, among others. We develop leaders and empower staff to use their gifts to impact the world through service – to our coworkers, to our clients and to our communities. We subscribe to the mission “finding purpose through serving others,” so if this speaks to you, let’s connect!

As a Survey Technician, you will work with a Project Manager and other surveyors to complete surveys and research previous survey evidence, including maps, deeds, and other records. You will assist our survey team members in land surveying efforts to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, or other purposes for a wide range of residential, commercial, retail, and public projects, locally and regionally.

We develop and inspire our Survey Field Technician Interns through training and coaching on the job. CESO is a principle-centered organization, thinking and acting in alignment with strong values of service, integrity and authenticity.  We believe that work should be more rewarding than just a paycheck.  In addition to a comprehensive benefit and compensation program, we create memories and friendship through our employee and service events including lunches, birthday celebrations, outings, and community service opportunities.

Our Survey Internships will be attending a career center or working towards an associates or bachelor's degree in surveying and mapping.  They will have some  knowledge of electronic data collection techniques including GPS control networks. If you’re familiar with or willing to learn pipeline industry standards, terminology, and procedures, and boundary and topographic data collection methods to generate CAD drawing packages, this is for you.

If you agree, we look forward to hearing from you!

CESO, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
