Project Construction Administrator

At CESO, a Project Construction Administrator is responsible to execute construction phase contractual services, while working with the Project Manager and on behalf of the Architect of Record. You will also be a representative of CESO in all construction related communications with a client throughout the entire course of the construction activity. You will have primary responsibilities that include:

  • Assist the Project Manager to define the project’s objectives, timeline, and oversee quality control
  • Coordinate with all resources to complete shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, plan interpretations, construction observations, punch lists, final square footage analysis, Pay App review and other necessary tasks associated with the Architect’s responsibilities during construction
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, team members, jurisdictional authorities, contractors
  • Participate in the QA/QC process, monitor product quality, design technology, and team performance to ensure consistency and compliance with contractual agreements
  • Coordinate with partners for completion of the construction phase of services such as surveys, geotechnical and environmental reports, traffic studies, MEP, structural engineering, civil, fire protection, acoustics, landscaping, etc.
  • Understand financial performance and metrics (multiplier, earned value, etc.) of the project during construction to identify and work with Project Managers to prepare change in service agreements
  • Track project milestones and communicate to involved teams throughout the project
  • Work with Project Managers on billing, invoicing, tracking, and managing client’s accounts receivable by contract terms
  • Attend internal and external client meetings with ability to travel as needed
  • Perform other project duties as assigned

Position requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience assisting with management of projects in a design and construction related field; or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of the use of AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes, methods and materials
  • Ability to travel
