Lead Project Engineer - Public Infrastructure

As a Lead Project Engineer, your responsibilities include: 

• Design public infrastructure projects including roadway, traffic, shared-use paths, storm water, and utility layouts using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. 
• Provide detailed designs for transportation projects, developing construction documents and specifications.
• Under the direction of a project manager, support civil engineers, in the daily planning, coordination, and completion of projects
• Research of design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional requirements
• Conduct field site visits to obtain necessary data
• Provide thorough and accurate documentation of calculations
• Review technical and civil engineering drawings and make revisions accordingly
• Attend client meetings
• Be a resource for internal department managers to facilitate cost estimates and design concepts
• Manage junior team members by providing project direction
• Motivate team members through the creation of a positive work environment by providing mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional development
• Other project duties as assigned

As a Lead Project Engineer, the candidate requirements include: 

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school 
• 4+ years of experience in transportation related projects
• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred, but not required.  
•  Proficient with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation to complete full sets of construction documents
•  Have a passion for mentoring others, learning new things and solving complex problems
