Senior Software Engineer - Dotnet
Product Development | Hybrid in Hyderabad, India | Full Time
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for our primary stack of .NET and a broad array of other technologies to deliver our products. We use C#, ASP.NET, Vue.js, Web API and Windows Services and SQL Server as our main data store. As a Senior Engineer you will be focused tactically on various projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with other developers and engineers to design, build, and maintain applications
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions
- Help build and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems using vector databases
- Develop prompt engineering strategies and contribute to evaluation frameworks for AI output quality
- Build user interfaces using modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular) and backend services(.NET,ASP.NET,C#, SQL Server and MongoDB)
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code following development standards across all layers of the application stack
- Contribute and conduct development tests including but not exclusive to unit,integration and system level
- Follows company software development standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement of development processes
- Document the learnings to share knowledge with teammates
- Reviews and validates implementations of self and others to ensure they meet requirements and match the specifications
- Follow and help improve software development standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot issues and help implement fixes across the full application stack
- Participate in on-call rotation with support from senior engineers
Job Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 7-14 years professional experience in all stages of definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of web-based software solutions
- Experience in the following tools/technologies: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server,.Net core, message queueing, HTML and JavaScript, knowledge design patterns and architectural concepts (MVC, DI, Restful API, Microservice)
- Hands on experience using testing frameworks (i.e.,NUnit, Visual Studio,xUnit, etc.) and TDD
- Experience with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process and methodologies
- Experience with RESTful API design and database basics (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with Git and basic branching/merging practices
- Experience with: LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), vector databases
- Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and genuine curiosity about how things work
- Good communication skills with ability to ask clarifying questions and explain your work
AI related:
- Proficient in AI tool like GitHub Copilot, cursor or other AI-powered coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality and best practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 7-14 years professional experience in all stages of definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of web-based software solutions
- A portfolio or GitHub repositories highlighting previous work and contributions.
Additional Skills:

Work Timings:
Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 1 AM IST to provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad. Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job-related emergencies or client needs.
