Internal Application: Director Software Engineering - Integrations

Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position will manage the continuous advancement of Cendyn’s products and their interlinkages with each other and with other vendor and client platforms through robust inventory of strategic integration API.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of integration specialists and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment conducive to innovation and excellence.
  • Lead integration projects from start to finish, including planning, resource allocation, and execution. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, product development, sales) and external partners to ensure timely and successful implementations.
  • Possess a deep understanding of hotel technology systems and protocols. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and compatible with existing hotel infrastructure.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hotel partners throughout the integration process. Understand their unique requirements and preferences, and tailor integration plans accordingly. Maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and satisfaction.
  • Help design innovative and scalable technology solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each integration.
  • Implement rigorous testing procedures to verify the functionality and performance of integrated solutions. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to minimize disruptions for hotel clients.
  • Ensure that all integration efforts comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly regarding data privacy and security. Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive information and protect against potential breaches.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to integration projects, such as deployment timelines, client satisfaction scores, and system reliability metrics. Analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Create detailed architectural designs, including system diagrams, data models, and integration plans.
  • Work closely with product development teams to ensure alignment between client needs and product roadmap.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams during project delivery.
  • Publish status reports and communicate success, impediments and risks.
  • Technology Evaluation and Research: Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices. Evaluate new technologies and tools that can improve operational efficiency and support business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions. Communicate technology initiatives, changes, and updates to relevant parties.
  • Technology Strategy: Assist in developing and executing the organization's technology strategy aligned with business goals and objectives. Understand Cendyn's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers and work with DevOps teams to strengthen infrastructure in accordance with the needs of the applications.
  • Team Management: Oversee and manage the technology team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff members. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Significant personal drive supported by a passion for software quality and customer satisfaction. Ability to effectively prioritize and deliver tasks in a high-pressure customer focused environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, and Electrical or Electronic engineering,
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in a Software Development, Technology, or related industry
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in .Net Framework and / or Java
  • Strong technical proficiency in software development, cloud computing, networking, and database systems.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and SQL/NOSQL databases.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SDLC and agile methodology including project management and deployment practices.
  • Possessing a deep understanding of Property Management Systems and their integration processes within the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with brown and green field systems.
  • Experience in strategic planning execution and policy development
  • Experience in hiring, terminating, and development of both associate and managerial level staff.
  • Demonstrated conflict management and delegation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical skills for sound problem solving and decision making, supported by facts.
  • Proven history of management by metrics
  • Proven leadership ability

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST. This will provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad.


This position may require up to 15% of travel. Travel may be within India, international, overnight, and outside of regular business hours.
