Accounts Payable (AP) Manager

Finance | Remote in Hyderabad, India | Full Time

Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, strong internal controls, compliance with company policies, and effective vendor management.

This role requires strong hands-on experience in NetSuite (NS). Experience with Stampli is an added advantage. Prior experience in the Hospitality industry will be considered a strong plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the full-cycle Accounts Payable process (invoice receipt to payment).
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the AP team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of high-volume vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
  • Perform and review 2-way and 3-way PO matching; resolve discrepancies in coordination with procurement and operations teams.
  • Manage vendor aging and ensure timely payments in line with agreed credit terms.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end AP close activities including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Set-up and review payment batches (ACH, Wire, Checks, Global ACH, Credit Cards).
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Monitor and improve AP workflows, automation, and efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST/VAT/TDS/Withholding tax as applicable).
  • Prepare AP MIS, dashboards, and management reports, including payment forecasts


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.


Experience Required

  • 7-10 years of Accounts Payable experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Proven experience managing AP operations in mid-to-large organizations.
  • Experience in NetSuite (NS) or similar ERP system required.
  • Experience in AP automation and workflow-based invoice processing.
  • Experience handling high-volume, multi-location / multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry is an added advantage.
  • Experience with Stampli is an added advantage.


Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on expertise in NetSuite (NS) (invoice processing, vendor management, payment runs, reporting) or similar ERP.
  • Knowledge of Stampli (preferred).
  • Experience with AP automation tools and approval workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting).
  • Strong understanding of PO-based and non-PO invoice processing.
  • Experience in ACH, Wire transfers, Global ACH, Credit Card and Check Payments.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM and subject to changes by Manager’s communication. This allows us to cover the complete U.S. working hours to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in hybrid mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad.
