Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

To improve the safety of of firefighters during a crisis event by monitoring their location within a building.

PROCESS:
 
Phase 1: Identify current wireless technologies and approaches to the problem. Wifi seems promising.
Phase 2: Budget for purchase of hardware and develop prototype.
Phase 3: Fabricate prototype systems
Phase 4: Document effectiveness of solution (1 pager)
Phase 5: Identify markets for Beta Testing
 
The proposed process is open to modification based on your ideas. Let your imagination take control!
 
DESIGN:
 
The internship is designed to familiarize and equip the interns with a variety of skills including product research, product development & design, product marketing etc. It will also immerse the intern(s) into the world  of emerging control technologies. The intern(s) will be mentored throughout the internship by Casaplex programmers, business development, and marketing staff. 
 
This internship is ideal for computer science and engineering majors because it also introduces the intern(s) to the business life cycle and business development aspects of consumer product design. 
 
LAUNCH:
 
The internship will begin as early as May and end in late August. These dates are negotiable based on ideal candidate availability.
