Entry Level Accounting Clerk / Office Assistant
 
Book-keeping tasks
-Enter receipts & bills into Quickbooks
-Maintain and organize accounting documents in digital format, including contracts, accounts payable and insurance certificates.
-Responsible for maintaining an organized accounting department environment.
-Performs reconciliation of accounting data.
-Preparing and recording deposits
 
Administrative Office tasks
-Answer phones, monitor accounting email, open and sort mail
-Route calls to the appropriate department/staff
-Assist and support office manager and other staff members as requested.
-Communicate with vendors and customers if needed to gather/provide required information
-Process RMAs (Coordinate with vendors and process shipments)
 
Key Characteristics/Skills of Ideal Hire
-Must have strong organizational, problem solving skills, and strong attention to detail
-Proven ability to communicate effectively with confidence, both verbal and written.
-Strong organizational and customer service skills.
-High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) as well as Web based applications.
-Must be able to Google for solutions to problems.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelors Degree Required
-Minimum 1 year experience in clerical work
 
BIG PLUSES
-General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
-Quickbooks experience a plus.
-Ability to Reconcile multiple bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
