Your Mission

Located in our San Mateo, CA office, we are looking for a versatile, experienced accountant to roll up his/her sleeves to handle and eventually manage the daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting and financial reporting for this very exciting media company connecting the major social network Influencers with major Brands across America.

As Senior Accountant / Manager you will work with a rapidly growing startup with ample opportunity to advance within the company. We’re looking for someone with experience working in a startup environment who is efficient, precise, and knowledgeable in accounting practices and procedures.

 

Responsibilities

Coordinate the monthly accounting close using Quickbooks Online, compliant with GAAP accrual accounting principles, and supported by consistent monthly reconciliations and subledgers.

Provide management reports to be used by the executive staff, key managers, and external investors

Maintain real-time accounting transactions, including cash, sales invoices, vendor invoices, payroll, notes payable and related interest expense, corporate card expenses and employee expense reports (provided by Expensify).

Support the company’s internal mission to develop scalable processes and systems to grow with this fast-growing team.

 

Requirements

BA / BS in Accounting, Economics, or Business

Active CPA preferred

5 – 9 years broad-based accounting experience including 2 years of public accounting

Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and specifically current Revenue Accounting rules when applied to virtual online “click-based” project and subscription sales

Working experience with Quickbooks, Excel, Expensify - familiarity with Salesforce a plus
