Senior Recruiter

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting with a focus on building and executing recruitment strategies and administering programs which result in the selection of the best talent for Caldera Medical. This includes but is not limited to: selling the Caldera Medical employment brand to candidates and employees, identifying areas to source qualified candidates, executing sourcing strategies to attract candidates, consulting with managers on position specific recruiting and selection topics as well as ensuring EEO compliance and initial offer activities.


  • Manage all aspects of the full cycle recruiting process for non-exempt through Director level positions delivering timely customer service with a sense of urgency
  • Consult with hiring managers and interview teams on all aspects of the recruiting process to ensure accuracy of job postings and gather competencies and requirements
  • Develop, recommend and execute various sourcing strategies, such as college/university recruiting, internet job boards, social media, resume mining and job fairs to attract a diverse and inclusive talent pool
  • Sell the Caldera Medical employment experience and ensure candidates/employees have a positive experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle
  • Perform behavioral, competency and skill-based interviews to assess candidate qualifications against agreed upon position requirements and competencies
  • Advise and influence others by providing leadership and guidance on all aspects of the recruitment process
  • Utilize corporate applicant tracking system in a compliant manner to manage the recruitment process, ensuring a high level of integrity into the system
  • Become actively involved in industry associations and symposiums to further build relationships with potential talent; attend career fairs and other company and/or industry events to further market the Caldera Medical brand
  • Understand and follow Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) guidelines related to sourcing and selection

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant major or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of recruiting experience (combination of corporate and agency experience preferred); a minimum of three years of experience working in the medical device industry
  • Full life cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated success from entry-level to senior level searches
  • Demonstrated experience using resume databases, internet search tools and/or social networking to find and attract top talent
  • Demonstrated ability to instill trust, analyze and solve problems while anticipating the needs of internal customers
  • Ability to think and act creatively to perform complex technical assignments while handling multiple priorities
  • Team player with willingness to take on responsibility while delivering timely customer service with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle delicate or difficult situations with finesse; work under stress; exercise strong judgment in difficult situations and navigate through difficult, highly sensitive or political situations
  • Excellent presentation skills, as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage partnerships with third-party executive/retained and contingent search vendors
  • Demonstrated high competence in tolerance for change and ambiguity
  • Outstanding computer skills in a Microsoft environment; working knowledge of HR and ATS systems    

Essential Job Functions:

  • This position is in an office environment
  • Position involves periods of working at a desk / on a computer for extended times
  • Position will involve walking, sitting, standing, and bending on a regular basis, and will involve lifting items up to 15 pounds on an occasional basis
