Senior Electrical Engineer

The Position:

  • Key team member for design and development of electromechanical medical devices

  • Perform electrical engineering tasks including PCBA design and analysis

  • Propose schematic and board layouts for performance , cost and reliability

  • Conduct design review, risk assessment and project documentation

  • Plan, document and execute design verification testing within R&D and Manufacturing

  • Develop new manufacturing processes, fixtures and operating procedures

  • Write and manage software validation protocols

  • Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements per IEC, FDA and FCC

  • Support engineering tests using Labview, test scripts and data acquisition systems

 The Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • 5-8 years of work experience in electrical, systems or software functions

  • At least three years of experience in development of medical devices

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 62304 and Usability

  • Direct experience in documentation or testing per electrical safety standards

  • Deep understanding of FMEA, Risk Analysis, Quality systems and design controls

  • Familiarity with PCB designs and electronic manufacturing, ESD environment, RoHS and FCC requirements

  • Ability to plan, set up and run tests using Labview

  • Experience with documenting and executing software validation

  • General familiarity with power, RF, microwave and communication protocols

  • Positive thinking, energetic with team-building and leadership skills
