VP, Agile Management Office

Job Description

The VP of the PMO will join a lead the team that supports the delivery of Caden’t internal and external software services and solutions.   This position will guide cross-functional groups that are responsible for developing and deploying solutions for top-tier distributors, network programmers and leading national advertisers.

What you will do: 

  • Proactively lead PMO delivery and approvals for multiple concurrent Project Managers, tracking completion of action items, resolving issues and mitigating risk  

  • Lead and direct PMO to deliver project deliverables & documented scope on time and within approved budget 

  • Partner with the leadership team to secure required resource assignments to project tasks 

  • Ensure PMO negotiates across multiple functions to resolve project conflicts and competing priorities 

  • Communicate as required to meet PMO objectives and goals 

  • Ensure best practices and project management tools & processes are applied to address unique situations 

  • Influence executive leadership within the business areas to create and maintain alignment around the PMO business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope, and constraints impacting PMO delivery 

  • Review internal project management processes, make recommendations for process changes, communicate changes with senior leadership and implement appropriate processes 

  • Oversee the assignment, development, training, and support of a nationwide, geographically disbursed team of project managers and project coordinators. 

  • Develop and foster effective collaboration between departments to ensure an integrated approach to achieving goals and objectives.  

  • Function as an effective liaison and intermediary to primary stakeholders and within the organization 

  • Provide management with updates on progress as well as disseminating architecture information to all relevant groups and personal and manages external vendors involved in the projects. 

  • Provides team support to internal business units for interdepartmental initiatives.  

  • Establish accountability in the organization by incorporating best practices and setting example in regard to work ethic and company values.   

  • Ensure effective management of staff resources and ability to overcome obstacles to cooperation and to foster harmonious relations. 

  • Provide leadership through effective persuasion, team building and motivational skills 

  • Provide high level direction for systems development driven by data analysis of platforms and services. 

  • Effectively balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines which may require working beyond standard work hours  

  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated.   

 

Education and Experience: 

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience  

  • PMP certification required 

  • Well skilled in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 

  • 5+ years of senior PMO leadership experience 

  • 10+ years required of project management experience 

  • 10+ years required of experience in information technology or business operations 

  • Experience in managing several projects simultaneously with varying customers, deadlines, and requirements 

  • Excellent organizational skills 

  • Ability to lead across departments to achieve a single objective 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Contract and/or service level management experience desired 

  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project 

  • Must be available to travel up to 30% (New York, NY and San Jose, CA)
