As our IT Infrastructure Admin, you’ll report to the Director of Infrastructure and be tasked with building and supporting scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure for our offices worldwide. You will be an invaluable resource for everyone at Business Insider as you’ll make sure the whole team has the tools they need to do amazing work.

  • Obtain a deep understanding of Business Insider’s infrastructure and applications

  • Automate the installation of software, settings, patches and upgrades

  • Research and resolve complex issues requiring detailed systems and applications knowledge

  • Configure, optimize, maintain and support our technical infrastructure, including both hardware and software platforms

  • Provide technical expertise in networking technology and hardware, including switches, routers and firewalls

  • Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventive solutions

  • Mentor other personnel on hardware and software problem analysis and resolution

  • Create logging and visibility into all systems

  • Support employees through problem-solving processes

  • Review, improve and document IT processes and policies



  • Know how to build and support an office IT infrastructure and educate hundreds of employees on how to use it

  • Familiar with desktop automation, SSO and directory system tools, concepts, and principles

  • Effective communication in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills and ability to work with both technical and nontechnical users

  • Professional Mac and Linux Systems Operation experience in a production environment

  • Experience with JAMF Pro, Okta, G Suite, LDAP and AWS a plus
