INSIDER is hiring a weddings reporter to work with our lifestyle team.
The ideal candidate not only has a nose for wedding news — like wedding horror stories, new trends, and celebrity/royal weddings — but wants to answer couples’ burning questions about etiquette, gift giving, and how much things should actually cost. Stories could cover everything from the dos and don'ts of wedding planning through to the honeymoon and newlywed life.
Our style is smart, conversational, exciting, and geared toward a general audience. The weddings reporter will be able to turn their ideas into compelling slideshows and is not afraid to jump on the phone with experts or real couples.
You'll be called on to write visual features, quick value-added aggregated posts, and in-depth feature stories, among other things.
We're looking for someone who is full of great ideas. This person should be excited about INSIDER’s mission to serve a huge digital audience through all kinds of storytelling, via all digital platforms.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for weddings that translates to a broad audience, and the flexibility to cover a wide range of stories
- The ability to work efficiently in a quick-turnaround environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail
- At least a few years of experience working for a digital publication
