Head of Business Insider TV

Job Description

Business Insider is looking for a builder and leader to head up an exciting video project at the company.

This person is an entrepreneurial journalist. They love digital video and film. They want to try new things on screen to discover what works and what is sustainable.

This person will help us develop new shows for platforms and help us improve the ones we currently produce, including Business Insider Today, the #1 news program on Facebook Watch. This person will also launch a subscription video product for Business Insider. There will be other experiments that turn into big bets, which this person will help strategize and execute.

The ideal candidate:

-Lives and breathes digital video

-Has 5+ years of experience working in the tv / video space

-Is a storyteller with the ability to take business topics and make them fun, digestible, and lively for video

-Thrives in an experimental and flexible work environment

-Has experience leading and motivating a team of journalists

-Has worked on a daily show and is accustomed to quick turnaround deadlines

-Loves to have their performance measured
