Business Insider is hiring a contributors editors to run its contributors and syndication programs, managing and coordinating how other voices — from websites to CEOs — appear on the site.
This editor should be:
- meticulously organized
- smart about streamlining processes
- endlessly curious about other people's lives, insights, and perspectives
- a voracious reader
- an experienced editor
- a clear communicator
- excellent with deadlines
- brimming with great ideas and irresistible headlines
The ideal candidate can work with expert contributors from initial contact through published post, helping people who might not be professional writers figure out an angle, create a compelling headline, and put together a finished post. This editor will be comfortable giving edits to contributors, and reaching out to smart voices they think should be given a platform on Business Insider.
This editor will also take the reins on our long-running syndication program, and decide which types of partners, posts, and book excerpts should appear on the site.
The editor should expect to work closely with our freelance teams and with editors across the newsroom.
