Ad Operations & Programmatic Specialist

Job Description

The Ad Operations & Programmatic Specialist will join a team responsible for executing digital advertising campaigns for a growing list of major advertisers and agencies. They will be responsible for managing the workflow of our UK- based campaigns. This role will be part of the team responsible for managing digital advertising campaigns across all of Business Insider’s Platforms (Desktop, Mobile, App, Native, Programmatic, and Video.) The aspects of the role include inventory management, QA of creative, implementation in the adserver, and implementation.

Working relationships:

Working with teams in UK and US offices in Sales, Sales Development, Business Development, Programmatic and Advertising Operations departments to ensure goals are met.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Working with Sales and Sales Development on Campaign Planning

  • Monitoring the Inventory utilisation of the UK & European Inventory

  • Managing the Campaign Set-Up Process

  • Adhering to defined Sales Operations Processes

  • Managing the delivery and optimization of digital ad campaigns to ensure they fulfill properly.

  • Working closely with internal groups to ensure client satisfaction on both Direct and Programmatic (private marketplace and programmatic guaranteed) campaigns

  • Using Google AdManager and other internal systems for reporting and trafficking purposes

  • Troubleshooting issues related to new campaigns

Person specification:

  • Proven experience working with Excel, Powerpoint, Major Adservers, Web Analytics Tools and Inventory Management Systems.

  • Proven experience managing digital advertising campaigns across both direct and programmatic channels.

  • An advertising operations focused individual with expertise in digital advertising.

  • Previous experience at a publisher or ad agency is helpful, ideally working across both direct and programmatic campaigns or an experienced ad operations specialist looking to also incorporate programmatic responsibilities into their role.

  • First class attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage several accounts.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.

  • Passionate about digital advertising and innovation in media with experience of working for a digital publisher or equivalent.

  • Excellent problem solver 

  • Self-starter and quick learner but able to ask for help when necessary.
