Scope of the Position:

The Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation, reporting to the VP of Marketing, will be responsible for growing and managing our online marketing capabilities to support the continued growth of our business. The Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation will have end-to-end responsibility for the tools, strategy, execution and continual testing and optimization of our buyer acquisition efforts for our network of B2B online marketplaces.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in managing digital channels for an ecommerce company; owning both the operational capabilities and ongoing campaign management, and understands how to optimize for ROI, not just lead generation. To be successful, the Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation is a builder at heart, who can develop a vision for the future but still enjoys being a hands-on operator who thrives on using data, cuts through complexity and has a bias toward action. The Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation will also need to be a team player and coach, with responsibility for managing and motivating employees, partner teams and agencies.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution of our marketing tech stack; helping us to better utilize our robust customer data to drive both new customer acquisition and incremental value from our existing customer base through personalization and advanced targeting techniques.

  • Directly manage PPC and display advertising channels.

  • Own analysis of marketing campaign performance, as well as a reporting framework for weekly, monthly and quarterly results and goal attainment.

  • Identify new channel strategies and opportunities for faster growth, lower cost per acquisition and increased buyer engagement.

  • Partner with other marketing team members to support content marketing and lead generation programs for our enterprise sales team.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and customer service within and around the marketing organization.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Total of 8 years of experience, with 4 or more years as a Manager / Director of Marketing Operations, Demand Generation or both in a high tech environment.

  • eCommerce background, particularly with auction or other dynamic pricing model businesses strongly preferred.

  • An analytical, data-driven marketer with strong skills using GA, Tableau and other tools to develop critical reports.

  • Able to juggle a range of tasks effectively

  • Is highly team-oriented, works well collaboratively whether as a peer or leader

  • Curious mind, able to challenge the status quo and solve problems

  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills with proven success in motivating, mentoring and creating an environment where the best talent thrives.

  • Proven leadership skills, highly motivated and self-directed.

  • Strong budget management and focus on ROI to maximize our digital spend and optimize our marketing mix

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline strongly preferred.
