B-Stock Solutions is a B2B e-commerce company that increases our clients’ recovery on the liquidation of customer returns and other excess inventory.  We operate private online auction marketplaces for our clients that extract the highest willingness to pay from an ever-growing buyer base that we drive to the site on an ongoing basis; our clients typically yield a 30-80% price increase over their alternative liquidation channels.  Our core team is from eBay where we started and built eBay’s original enterprise B2B business.  

B-Stock is venture-backed, and in our 6th year of operations.  We serve dozens of Fortune 1000 retailers and manufacturers (including 4 of the 5 largest retailers in the US), as well as thousands of small and medium sized businesses.  Our customers include Wal-Mart, Costco, Target, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, GameStop, Whirlpool, Genesco, and many other large retailers and manufacturers.

Scope of the Business Development Representative

B-Stock Solutions is searching for a hungry Business Development Representative who will be responsible for identifying and advancing new opportunities from the lead generation to Sales Qualified Lead. A successful candidate has at least one year of sales experience in a B2B technology, preferably in the e-commerce sector.  The candidate will possess the skill to engage and influence key decision makers and solution users that demonstrate awareness of our value proposition.  This entry-level Sales Representative position has the opportunity to learn and grow into an Enterprise Sales Executive and be responsible for closing deals.

Job responsibilities:

  • Exceed Sales Qualified Lead quota on a monthly basis

  • Deliver a concise and effective sales pitch that connects with the unique needs of each prospect

  • Generate new leads that match our ideal client personas through cold outreach, attending tradeshows, inbound marketing lead follow up and leads from other seller marketing initiatives.

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of B-Stock’s business model, platform, solutions, and value proposition

  • Quickly qualify prospects to develop a realistic assessment of fit to maximize time and effort for Enterprise Sales Executives

  • Set up appointments for Enterprise Sales Executives and assisting in a smooth transition process by researching prospects

  • Maintain detailed sales process records using Salesforce to provide accurate reporting on deal pipeline

  • Staying on top of current events and trends to identify compelling events for target accounts

  • Implement seller marketing campaigns designed to re-engage stalled prospects

  • Work with the rest of the sales team to create an environment of teamwork and meeting goals.

  • Work with VP of Sales to develop skills necessary to become an Enterprise Sales Executive.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, or related field.

  • A proven track record of sales success, routinely exceeding quotas

  • A strong work ethic with a salesperson’s instinct

  • 1+ years’ experience with Enterprise B2B sales, preferably in the ecommerce sector

  • Incredible verbal and written communication skills

  • Coachable and able to take and implement constructive criticism

  • Ability to learn and use new technology in a relatively quick manner with instruction

  • Proficient in MS Office, and other sales automation technology

  • Experience with, and /or an understanding of the marketplace business model

  • Excellent organizational skills to keep contacts and schedules perfectly in order

  • The ability to think creatively and find solutions to problems

  • Work well independently and collaboratively
