Organization Overview
Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to California’s most vulnerable individuals, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes, and implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans’ services and health care sectors.

Position Summary
The Budget Analyst collaborates with the FHSP Program Team and Brilliant Corners Finance Team to manage the $90 million annual budget of the Los Angeles County Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool (FHSP). Collectively, the FHSP Program and Finance teams are working to scale the FHSP and meet the audacious goal of housing thousands of homeless Angelenos. This position’s primary objective is to develop key program budgets, to provide analysis on business trends, and to monitor the program budget on a monthly basis.


  • Analyze monthly departmental financial reports, investigate actual to budget variances, and communicate with managers in order to maintain expenditure controls.

  • Assist in the development of the annual budgets and manage program based, multi-year forecasts for expenditures and revenues.

  • Provide support to the Finance Director and assist with special studies that require data compilation; analyze and interpret information in oral and written presentations.

  • Utilize and ensure compliance with cost allocations across various funding streams in accordance with the OMB Uniform Guidance Regulations.

  • Be aware of and adhere to multiple contract budgets with their own specified individual requirements and parameters.Maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field;

  • 3+ years accounting management and financial analysis experience;

  • Familiarity with Intaact, a plus; and other accounting software packages;

  • High level of proficiency with Excel.

Salary range:      $2,115.38-2,500.00, bi-weekly salary
