Position Overview

Brave Christian Schools is seeking a Christ-centered, relational, and academically strong Middle School Math Teacher to teach on-level Math and Pre-Algebra courses. This full-time position serves students in grades 6–8 and plays a key role in building foundational mathematical understanding, critical thinking skills, and high school readiness.

As a private Christian school, Brave Christian is committed to partnering with families to develop students academically, spiritually, and socially. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional skill, classroom leadership, and a heart for discipleship.

Primary Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

● Teach on-level middle school Math and Pre-Algebra courses.

● Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with grade-level standards.

● Build strong foundational skills in computation, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.

● Prepare students for success in Algebra I and higher-level high school coursework.

● Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

● Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth.

● Integrate real-world application and critical thinking into instruction.

Classroom Leadership

● Establish a structured, respectful, and engaging classroom culture.

● Maintain consistent classroom management aligned with school expectations.

● Communicate clear academic expectations and provide timely feedback.

● Support students in developing strong study habits and executive functioning skills.

Faith Integration

● Integrate biblical worldview into instruction where appropriate.

● Model Christ-centered character, integrity, and professionalism.

● Encourage spiritual growth and positive peer relationships.

● Participate in chapel, spiritual life activities, and school community events.

Collaboration & Communication

● Collaborate with department leads and administration.

● Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
