HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $90-110 USD / HR

ESTIMATED DURATION: 40Hrs/Week - Long Term, 6-month project

 Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and talented Senior UX Designer to help form a new high profile UX team, leading the design of the next generation of systems, on desktop, web and mobile, for internal and external clients.


The Finance Transformation Office User Experience team strives to increase adoption and improve ease of use of our solutions. We do that by building a deep understanding of users' behaviors, needs and goals. In collaboration with teams across Finance, we support experiences that represent touchpoints and interactions our teams have with products and identify ways to improve their experiences by testing and learning. You will partner with delivery, technology, and product peers to define the vision, mission, and strategy. You will lead high-profile projects, performing research, and working with business partners to understand the problem space, using co-creation and workshops to formulate solutions, and then creating intuitive and delightful UX designs that create best-in-class experiences.


The team also drives standards and best practices across the organisation, and you will have a leading role in shaping and developing these standards, as well as reaching out into global UX and development teams to give support and guidance on UX standards and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze cross-organizational experiences to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities to improve and innovate.
  • Create user flow diagrams outlining optimized “happy path”, secondary use cases and edge cases
  • Create Detailed wireframes for user flows (from lo-fi to hi-fi as you progress through the process)
  • Design mid to high-fidelity prototypes for testing
  • Provide UX input to assist with product investment decisions, product strategy, and product roadmap development across a number of solutions.
  • Provide input into UX strategy for the global platform ranging from resourcing to research and design decisions.
  • Lead the objective-setting and discovery process with support from team leadership, including user persona development and interpreting user goals.
  • Collaborate with product leaders to design and execute a variety of user research activities. 
  • Synthesize and broadly communicate results of user research, concept testing, usability testing and quantitative analysis to make complex design recommendations. 
  • Act as an advocate for the end user within a cross-functional team.
  • Work collaboratively by sharing designs early and often, seeking constructive feedback and integrating feedback to improve solutions.
  • Offer guidance and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
  • Help team members develop, strengthen, and align their ideas with business and customer goals.


Required Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in UX Design 
  • T-shaped UX designer with demonstrated expertise in at least two and proficiency in two others: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment design.
  • Experience using methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup.
  • Strong organization and analytic thinking skills and system, end-to-end process thinker, with ability to translate complex content into user scenarios, flows and diagrams.
  • Creative flair, excellent attention to detail, a good eye for design
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Innovative ideas and can-do attitude
  • Excellent skills in a professional design tool e.g. Sketch, Invision, Figma, AdobeXD, Axure
  • Ability to portray ideas and concepts, quickly and clearly, via paper-based sketching.
  • Empirically minded and system thinking UXer
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and embed in Agile teams, including process engineers, data architect and Product manager.
  • Understand current user behaviour for each user in an end to end process
  • Identify key points of failure and associated metrics
  • Develop and test new UX concepts using Lean UX ahead of development sprints.

Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • Excellent skills in a professional design tool e.g. Sketch, Invision, Figma, AdobeXD, Axure
  • Ability to portray ideas and concepts, quickly and clearly, via paper-based sketching.
  • HTML/CSS/JS development skills – nice to have.
