Role & Responsibilities

As Social Media Manager your role will be to help build Braintrust’s social media presence, creating an active and engaged following and community that ultimately drives sales. Currently we’re focused on LinkedIn, but intend to expand out to Twitter and Instagram. The ideal candidate for this role has honed strategy and messaging for LinkedIn. We are looking for someone who is editorially minded, and can thoughtfully parse out many pieces of social media content from one “hero asset.” You should enjoy experimenting with various messaging and images that drive engagement, with an eye towards results. You will be expected to build, test and optimize a social media strategy with the goal of generating more qualified opportunities for our sales team. 

In this role you will:  

  • Review Braintrust editorial content and pull out various pieces to share on social media.

  • Experiment with different formats (video, images) and messaging to drive engagement.

  • Build and execute the social editorial calendar for our three primary accounts on LinkedIn. (Braintrust account + two Co-Founders’ accounts)

  • Develop a strategy for expanding to other platforms in a low-lift, high impact way.

  • Interact (as Braintrust) with industry leaders, influencers, target audiences, etc. to like/comment/share their content to get more visibility.

  • Report out results; evaluate  what’s working leveraging data, and double down on it.

  • Make strategic recommendations to enhance effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience as a Social Media Manager or a similar role internally or at an agency serving B2B companies.

  • Proven to grow social audiences for new company accounts

  • Exhibited interest in the Future of Work, new talent models, and similar narratives/ messaging.

  • Knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram algorithm and for what works and what doesn’t when posting to these platforms.

  • Ability to pull data and formulate a hypothesis about what’s working and what’s not, and make specific recommendations for how to move forward.

  • Proficient in Canva and Hubspot.

  • Experience and comfort working in a fully distributed team environment. 

  • Highly creative with an eye for brand building/design.

  • Highly autonomous; self directed and ambitious. 

  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
