JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position - No agencies (See notes below)

LOCATION: Remote (TimeZone: BST, CST, EST)

HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $120/hr- $150/hr USD / HR

ESTIMATED DURATION: 40Hrs/Week - Long Term, 6-month project, Contract to Hire

Braintrust (usebraintrust.com) is a user-controlled talent network, where you keep 100% of what you earn and actually get to own the platform. We've been onboarding some big clients and specifically need a Quantitative UX Researcher for our client.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with UX, product, and business partners to align on specific and measurable KPIs, identify gaps, and establish processes for gathering the required data
  • Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of data from multiple sources (e.g., intercept surveys, usage data, customer service feedback, etc.)
  • Use statistical modeling and analysis to identify trends and investigate issues
  • Build dashboard views and create visualizations that effectively summarize key insights
  • Leverage hard data to tell compelling stories in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to leaders
  • Collaborate with UX Research teammates who focus on qualitative research as well as experts in experimental design, behavioral science, data science, and other roles to conduct and share research
  • Act as a thought leader in quantitative UX research, identifying new opportunities to leverage quantitative insights while advocating for the people you study

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience within quantitative UX research or product analytics
  • Proven ability to translate data and customer feedback into actionable insights and opportunities
  • Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources to inform experience strategy and business decisions
  • Demonstrated expertise working with large data sets, multivariate statistics, and experimental design
  • Practical experience using tools like Excel, R, or Python, to perform and interpret basic statistical analyses
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the following is a plus: Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Data Science, Experimental Psychology, Information Science, Social Science, Economics, or related field

Functional Skills

  • Proficient in planning and executing all aspects of end-to-end quantitative research studies
  • Able to understand user behavior and extract meaningful patterns from large data sets
  • Creative problem solver who can develop novel ways to approach research questions when faced with challenging constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to quickly build rapport, establish credibility, and work collaboratively with peers, managers and stakeholders across disciplines and levels
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Able to train peers and broader team members in proper research techniques
  • Experience with analytics and survey software (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Qualtrics, etc.)
  • Comfort with programming languages used to manipulate data (e.g., SQL, Python)
  • Organized and able to manage personal, team and project timetables
