Job Description

JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position - No agencies (See notes below)

LOCATION: Remote (TimeZone: BST, CST, EST)

HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $40 - $55 USD / HR

ESTIMATED DURATION: 40Hrs/Week - Long Term, 3-months project



Braintrust ( is a user-controlled talent network, where you keep 100% of what you earn and actually get to own the platform. We've been onboarding some big clients and specifically need a Senior Data Architect for our client.   


As Mid-Level Integration Engineer you will:

  • Be responsible for the development of new integration interfaces in Python, along with modifications to existing functionality, and fixes to issues.
  • Evaluate both off the shelf tools and custom solutions to determine most appropriate (efficient and effective) approach to meeting integration requirements.
  • Engage in subsystems’ design analysis and support seamless integration with existing Django backend.
  • Write documentation for the integration process so that future engineers know how to solve potential issues.
  • Develop in alignment with established coding standards and design pattern best practices.
  • Use TDD techniques (with 80% min code coverage) for the development of all Python, compatible with Django backend.

Technical requirements

We are only looking for candidates with proven experience using:

  • Python
  • Python TDD practices
  • Object-oriented programming best practices
  • Enterprise integration design patterns
  • Open-source and/or COTS integration middle-ware
  • Docker
  • PostgreSQL
  • Git source management
  • Appropriate use of open-source libraries 

Extra credit qualifications

  • Integration experience with EHR systems (ChARM integration experience a huge plus)
  • Django
  • GCP and/or AWS
  • Open-source author and/or contributor
