ABOUT US:

Braintrust (usebraintrust.com) is a user-controlled talent network, where you keep 100% of what you earn and actually get to own the platform. We've been onboarding some big clients and specifically need a Front End Developer  for our client.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our Client is a financial media company based in London.

Most retail investors lose money. But it's not their fault; the brokerages are all structured to profit from users trading more, not making more.

We're building the missing piece of the puzzle in making investing easy for everyone: What companies do you invest in?

Let's help everyone make money. Without gambling, geeking or guessing.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a front-end web developer with attention to detail, problem solving skills and can-do attitude to develop, test and deploy the first version of our web app. You’ll be end-to-end building, testing and shipping a web app. It’s primarily a subscription media application with a large VOD focus.

In a world where the business model is to take a cut of your money, whether it goes up, down or sideways, you’ll be working on the first financial app that’s aligned to users interests. We’re not a brokerage or bank; we just provide world-class information in beautifully simple packages.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • 2+ years of hands-on frontend development experience with JavaScript including Vue.js, React, Angular or similar frameworks, HTML5, CSS
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to explain and discuss technical decisions and contribute sound recommendations to the team
    • Familiarity with development workflow, including Git, CI, Unit and UI testing
    • Experience contributing to UI/UX design and improvement for new and existing projects
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to explain and discuss technical decisions and contribute sound recommendations to the team
    • Self-motivated hands on generalist
    • High quality previous work (portfolio)
    • Strong English

ABOUT THE HIRING PROCESS:

Qualified candidates will be invited to do a screening interview with the Braintrust staff. We will answer your questions about the project, and our platform.  If we determine it is the right fit for both parties, we'll invite you to join the platform and create a profile to apply directly for this project.

C2C Candidates: This role is not available to C2C candidates working with an agency. If you are a professional contractor who has created an LLC/corp around their consulting practice, this is well aligned with Braintrust and we’d welcome your application.

Braintrust values the multitude of talents and perspectives that a diverse workforce brings. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
