About the Role

Vision: A digital platform that facilitates live educational sessions for in-person and virtual attendees. A speaker will lead a branching presentation that is partially dictated by attendee participation. In each session, the attendees will collaboratively build a patient case, and then walk through the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of that patient together. To conclude the presentation, attendees will have personalized certifications of completion delivered to them digitally.

Target / users: Family physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, dieticians and obesity educators.

  • Session registration, and gated login functionality for speakers and attendees.
  • Collection and persistent storage of attendee registration details, session metrics, and case outcomes..
  • Tools for either the speaker or a platform rep to build presentations in advance of the real-time sessions.
  • Methods of attendee interaction by way of polling or other forms of gamification.
  • Interaction likely to be mobile based to support both virtual and in-person attendees (who are unlikely to have laptops) simultaneously.
  • Building of patient cases will be delivered in the form of an “avatar builder”, controlled by the presenter based on polling input from the attendees. Avatars to be built from a set of defined parameters, and then used throughout the session in conjunction with the predefined presentation.
  • Upon session completion, personalized certificate PDFs to be sent to all session attendees.
  • Separate from the real time presentation sessions, gated digital resources and interactive tools will be accessible to all attendees to utilize at their leisure following attendance of a session.
