Senior Credit Representative

Credit | North Hollywood, CA | Full Time

Job Description


This position provides effective credit service, timely response to internal and external customers with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.  Review of customer orders, reconciliation of medium volume customer accounts, resolution of collection or debit memo problems, notification to delinquent customers of overdue status on accounts and collection of delinquent accounts within established procedures, release of credit queue on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all inquiries via phone, e-mail, and mail or in person within a timely manner, per department standards and update internal files as appropriate.

  • Release/hold domestic and international orders on queue within established company and department guidelines.

  • Follow-up with all customers with collection or debit memo problems, and/or on hold status.

  • Handle customer concerns or requests regarding incorrect billings, credit policy discounts, and/or return of merchandise requests.

  • Work in team environment to meet department goals including, but not limited to, identify and move to areas needing help without instruction, assisting and supporting members who are backlogged and providing support to supervisor/manager as needed.

  • Interface regularly with manufacturer's representatives, Sales management, Customer Service and Shipping departments, in addition to co-workers, internal and external, domestic, international and branch-based customers, to resolve account orders.

  • Prepare professional business correspondence with Distributors, Manufacturer's Representatives and Sales management.

  • Troubleshoot more complex customer issues effectively and accurately.

  • Effectively assess customer needs and resolve concerns through use of excellent listening, good judgment, critical thinking and problem solving techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a business-business (B2B) context in credit and or customer service.

  • Knowledge of invoicing and payment applications is necessary.

  • Credit, collections, and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to adapt to various communication styles.

  • Must have great problem solving skills with an assertive ability to manage and resolve difficult situation.

  • Must be able to use good judgment and decision making skills in resolving customer concerns.

  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Word.
