Solutions Engineer

Sales & Marketing | Portland, OR | Full Time

Job Description

Position Summary

The Solutions Engineer will uncover business requirements, develop a solution sales strategy, and create and effectively demonstrate BlueVolt’s solutions that address customer requirements. This position requires that you can empathize with our customer’s needs, and effectively communicate the value that the BlueVolt platform can add to their learning and sales enablement programs. 


* Understand prospects’ learning programs for their sales channels. Lead product demos that highlight platform capabilities which help achieve prospects’ learning, sales goals, and business objectives

* Talk directly with customers to help them understand integration options, SDK / API's available, data formats, Single Sign-On, Import/Export options and negotiate protocols

* Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members including management, sales team, system engineers, account managers, and project managers

* Advocate customer needs/issues cross-departmentally

* 2-4 years of relevant experience

* Responsive, well organized, and highly professional

* Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal

* Familiarity with generating and manipulating common data formats, including CSV, XML, and JSON

* Working knowledge of SSO including SAML, OAuth, OpenIDConnect

* Ability to accommodate travel by plane, train and/or automobile (including overnight travel) and fluctuates based on conferences, trade show, and customer/prospecting visit cycles
