We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Lead of Data with 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years leading teams, who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable working across the full AWS data stack. The ideal candidate delivers scalable, reliable data architecture and reporting solutions, maintains strong standards for data quality and governance, and communicates clearly across technical and executive teams to support faster, more confident data-driven decision-making.
Role Purpose
Define and execute the organization's data strategy, leading a multidisciplinary team (Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Developers, and a Data Scientist/ML Engineer) to build scalable AWS-based solutions that drive data-informed decision-making.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the data team: performance reviews, feedback, career development plans.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members.
- Allocate resources and assign tasks for efficient workload distribution.
- Foster a collaborative environment and continuous learning culture.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards.
Technical Responsibilities
- Design and lead the AWS data architecture (ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses in PostgreSQL/MySQL, S3 storage).
- Translate business needs into analytics and reporting solutions.
- Establish data quality, governance, and security standards.
- Define and prioritize the data roadmap aligned with company strategy.
- Oversee development of dashboards, reports, and predictive models (Python, BI tools, ML).
- Optimize performance of relational databases and AWS data clusters.
- Evaluate new technologies to continuously improve the data stack.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years in data roles, including at least 2 years leading teams.
- Proven experience designing data architectures on AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
- Python proficiency for pipeline development and analysis.
- Advanced experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Understanding of ML frameworks and model deployment.
- Data modeling, warehousing, and query optimization skills.
- Experience designing data APIs and microservices.
- Advanced technical English; solid grasp of CI/CD and agile methodologies.
