About the Role:

We are looking for a Video Editor to join our Playmaker department. The Playmaker Team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher Report audience, in partnership with brands. You will edit a variety of projects ranging from branded content, short-form documentary, comedy and segments for recurring/episodic shows, and promo content. This is a collaborative role, working closely with other editors, producers, motion designers, and internal creative leads. Bleacher Report is on the cutting edge of the sports and entertainment industries so we’ll be asking you to push your creative boundaries.

Responsibilities (including, not limited to):

  • Demonstrates a developed skill level in digital video editing for a variety of short-form content
  • Maintains active lines of communication with producers on status of edits, exports, and incoming footage, with deadlines in mind
  • Keeps projects and working media organized
  • Researches and offers creative suggestions and workflows based on client and internal creative briefs and feedback
  • Guides and mentors Assistant Editors and Junior Video Editors
  • Thrives in a high pressure, fast-paced production/work environment 
  • Adapts quickly to changes in production plan/schedules

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years editing experience
  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • HS degree required
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Competent in color correction, audio mixing and mixdowns
  • Competent in Adobe After Effects
  • Proficient knowledge of the Four Major Sports a plus
