The Job

Bleacher Report & Turner Sports Production Management is looking for a NY based dedicated, experienced Associate Production Manager to join our team. This role will play an important role in executing effectively and efficiently VOD and other non-live content produced by all Bleacher Report and Turner Sports groups. Content is primarily unscripted, but inclusive of scripted, animation, marketing & promo campaigns, both short form and long form. 

The Associate Production Manager will be a critical member of a small team who are responsible for finding the sweet spot between a project’s creative vision and the practical details of production management, balancing creative excellency with budget solutions. The APM will support the team in building and maintaining multiple series and pilot budgets, staffing production crews both in the field and in studio, and maintaining relationships with third party production companies.

The Daily

  • Supporting senior Production Management team in building and maintaining multiple VOD & other non-live production budgets, schedules and structures for all aspects of production, beginning in concept development, for content groups including B/R + TS Social, House of Highlights, HighlightHER, B/R Studio, CSSU 

  • Assist Production leads in collaborating with departments across Turner Sports and Bleacher Report as it relates to each assigned production. Work with Legal, QC, Talent Services, Integrated Strategy, B/R Design, WM Studios and others to ensure efficient productions. Make recommendations on using in house crew, gear, post production and other resources vs. outsourcing/third party. 

  • Drive content development and strategy by building and distributing an overall production plan for assigned projects

  • Oversee production logistics for assigned productions: credentials, above-the-line travel, etc

  • When working with third party production companies, responsible for ensuring they are staying on schedule, on budget, and adhering to Delivery requirements

  • Work with internal Project Management team on all post production needs, including schedules, media management and final delivery 

  • Continuously search for efficiencies and opportunities to streamline production. 

  • Creating and maintaining relationships with production and post production vendors

  • Excel at conflict resolution and practical problem solving during production, both in studio and on location. 

  • Ensuring best practices for hiring, with a specific focus on diversity in production staffing and crew hires as top priority 

  • Providing cost reports to Production Management leadership at a regular cadence

  • Work with Production leads in cross-org alignment once a project moves to Production, including running cross-departmental Task Force meetings with Marketing, Creative, PR, Sales, Programming at a repeating cadence through the lifecycle of the project 

  • Support generating Production Services Agreements, Talent Agreements, all production releases and other clearance paperwork, liaising closely with Legal, Business Development and Talent Services. 

  • Ensuring all use of highlights and other game related content is in line with B/R & Turner Sports agreements with various league partners, i.e. NBA, MLB, MLS
