Assistant Media Technician- TEMP

Bleacher Report is seeking an Assistant Media Technician to work on the Video Technical Operations team in the NYC office. This is a temporary position that will run from 8/11/21-6/30/22.


  • Sets up and monitors the ingest and encoding processes for all NCAA game highlights

  • Liaisons with highlight editors and encoding platform partner WSC, providing direct support for any technical issues or questions that arise during game operations.

  • Execute on daily studio and field shoot ingest process. Assists in organization and media management across multiple NAS/SAN storage volumes

  • Sets up and monitors live streams utilizing Elemental Encoder Software. Coordinates with programming and producing teams on sending videos to proper stream destinations with correct metadata

  • Assists with footage requests and tracking video rights usage for all NCAA conferences 

  • Assists in MAM management, metadata tagging and archiving to both cloud and tape


  • Bachelor's degree in communications/video production

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a media production environment. Live production experience is a plus

  • Nights and weekend flexibility required

  • Experience editing with Adobe Premiere is preferred

  • Solid computer and technical background, preferably with macOS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Quick learner of new technologies, able to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced work environment 

  • Experience working with media asset management systems a plus
