Senior Research Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Serve as client-facing expert on research capabilities and oversee the execution of all research studies 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on brand studies, having a clear POV on the best option for each client
  • Consistently evaluate vendors and methodologies in the marketplace to ensure we’re adequately positioned to prove the value of advertiser spends
  • Maintain a presentation providing the sales team with an overview of our brand study offerings and keep the presentation updated
  • Build a repository of case studies to leverage for client pitches
  • Serve as the POC with the sales team and guide them through the study process
  • Serve as the POC with the client and the research vendor and maintain clear communication with all internal + external teams throughout the brand study process
  • Coordinate with sales, the client, the vendor and ad operations the proper and timely implementation of all tagging and SDKs as required for the success of each study
  • Implement best practices in terms of study and survey design while ensuring all stakeholders have an opportunity for input
  • Monitor study results to ensure they’re in line with client expectations
  • Interpret results and assist in integrating findings into the larger campaign recap, providing a clear understanding of the value added from the partnership
  • Create a system to tracking pending, live, and closed studies
  • Manage invoicing, with focus on pacing towards budget 
  • Provide monthly updates to senior leadership about study activity, pacing towards budget, and performance
  • Partner with the Marketing team to execute ad hoc consumer research studies
  • Have a clear understanding of the best way to execute these studies (i.e. vendor vetting, sample selection, survey design, methodological practice)
  • Oversee an Analyst/Sr. Analyst and ensure that they’re well-positioned to assume the day-to-day management of study execution

Experience Needed:

  • Prior Work Experience (Minimum experience requirement, Desirable Skills) 
  • Must have at least 5-7 years of work experience
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience working in a primary research role
  • Must have experience executing qualitative + quantitative studies
  • Previous brand study execution experience strongly preferred
  • Previous foot traffic and attribution study experience strongly preferred (i.e. Placed, Foursquare)
  • Must be familiar with a number of study vendors
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Background in statistical analysis a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Communications or other relevant field
  • Client facing experience required, specifically as the lead POC for research studies
  • College degree required
