Bleacher Report is the #1 sports media brand! B/R defines sports culture by capturing and creating the moments that matter with a mission to make it as easy as possible to be a sports fan. Our love of sports goes way beyond stats and standings, fueling top engagement across all social channels and through our own industry-leading B/R app. Recently, Bleacher Report was ranked as one of the ‘World's Most Innovative Companies’ by Fast Company. Find Bleacher Report on the web at www.bleacherreport.com and on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter @BleacherReport. Bleacher Report is a division of Turner Sports.
Only active students (undergraduate or graduate programs) or recent graduates (within 6 months of applying) will be considered for the internship.
The paid internship will be entirely remote in light of COVID-19 and with your health and safety in mind. There will be extensive programming accommodated for a virtual environment, so you can make the most of your time at Bleacher Report and learn the ins-and-outs of our exciting industry alongside your fellow interns.
Our 10-week summer internship program will kick off June 7th and commence on or before August 13th.
Bleacher Report’s commitment to creating a diverse, inclusive and exceptional pipeline of talent starts with giving early opportunities to fresh voices looking to break into the industry.
emB/Race, Bleacher Report’s Black affinity group, will be bringing on an intern this summer.
emB/Race offers Black employees of B/R a chance to build community within the organization, facilitate professional development of Black professionals and create opportunities for philanthropy by B/R. By establishing this network, emB/Race opens doors for growth that extend beyond the walls of B/R and create opportunities to impact our surrounding communities.
The internship will have several components that will allow for increased exposure to various parts of the business as well as developmental opportunities to help young talent navigate careers in today’s culture.
We are committed to creating meaningful content with talent who reflect the diversity of our society and the world around us. We are looking for a strong candidate interested in finding a meaningful internship experience: someone passionate about building opportunity and community for Black professionals.
During their time with Bleacher Report, the emB/Race Intern will work with the Diversified Sports Content (DSC) group whose mission is to amplify new and underrepresented voices in sports culture through impactful storytelling. DSC content defines B/R’s guiding principles in an interactive way that resonates with B/R employees, the B/R audience and athletes/celebrities/influencers.
The team will provide an atmosphere that will allow for the cultivation of creativity and collaboration while providing the ground work to gain technical skills that will be applied to tell enriching, comprehensive visual stories.
The intern will also have the opportunity to contribute to emB/Race initiatives while also receiving mentorship from emB/Race members.
