BitVoyant – Cyber/Data Analyst

BitVoyant produces business and network intelligence, enabling companies to intimately understand their interactions and risks in real-time and at Internet scale.  We’re growing our analysis team to create, enrich, and mine this intelligence for insights that matter to our customers.

As a Cyber/Data Analyst, you will drive the collection, correlation and analysis of large data sets from a broad, ever-evolving set of sources. We need analysts that can:

  • Deliver findings and reports on tight schedules and under pressure
  • Present results in language that’s friendly to business and operational audiences

  • Define and follow a disciplined analytical workflow
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks

Broader Responsibilities

  • Rapidly iterate on analysis methods by finding elegant, reliable and understandable techniques to build analytics that matter
  • Be involved in all stages of analytic development from ideation through prototyping, automation, and productizing
  • Help formalize our methodologies to enable evolution and scalability
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging techniques, and analytic best practices
  • Keep informed of evolution and impact of adversary tactics and strategies
  • Ensure analytical issues are quickly resolved and help implement strategies and solutions to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence
  • Identify competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and provide an assessment of obstacles and analytical hurdles to the success of BitVoyant


Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Strong data mining skills, especially with large, dynamic data sets
  • Experience with HDFS, ELK, and/or analytic automation
  • Experience with the operational application of intelligence
  • General cyber experience, with solid foundation of networking concepts
    • Working technical knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, IDS, PCAP, etc.
    • Understanding of exploitation and defense, and adversary tactics
  • US Citizenship or authorization to work in the US
